Oh my, this is a big one!  Women’s roles have changed so much in the world, even since I was a girl.   Women work full-time, they invent things, they write plays and direct movies, they create new businesses, they run families and corporations, they drive big rigs, they direct traffic, they negotiate contracts, they design buildings, and the list goes on and on.  In a sense, we’ve learned to navigate the world as men.

I know this sounds absurd, but I am reminded of this every time I call a contractor or repairman.  I am trying to perfect my technique of getting what I want without being taken advantage of.  If I describe the problem in technical detail while flashing my long eyelashes, am I striking a balance between the masculine and feminine?  How do we harness femininity within the world of the masculine?

I do not know the answer to this question.  What I do know is that my desire to prove that I am just as capable as a man is diminishing.  I want to embrace my femininity and harness its power to be a new kind of woman.  Someone who is ready to navigate the world as herself in her most authentic, feminine form for the betterment of ALL, men and women.♥

How do you navigate the world?
